I was born in Newnan, Georgia in the May of 1996, and raised there on a combination of 90’s Country legends, Texas Blues, and Outlaw Country. One theme that was constantly reoccurring across those three, was the mention of Whiskey. Now, as a 30 year old man I’ve developed my own relationship with corn liquor, and I figured it was time enough to write a song about my feelings for the beverage.
My buddy Morgan and I sat down not long ago and started writing this song, and about 15 minutes later we realized we were already done. This song flowed out of us just as easy as that river Willie Nelson famously mentioned, and we knew it was the next song we wanted to record. The song was produced by yours truly, and I really wanted to capture that bluesy, outlaw country feel that I hold so dearly. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed every second of making this song.
